Designed to perform anti-submarine warfare duties, the Cape-Class patrol boats — of which 36 were completed — were first laid down during the Korean War with the purpose of being used to secure U.S. port facilities.
This 1/82 scale plastic kit, a stunning reproduction of the Coast Guard cutter, features finely molded pieces, paper flags and pennants, a 20mm twin cannon, two depth charge racks, a lifeboat, three detailed crewmen, authentic markings for four different patrol boats, and a nameplate display stand.
