| Baldwin Centipede Diesel Locomotive
Part of Broadway Limited's premier Paragon 2 series, this DCC-equipped, HO scale model of a DR-12-8-1500/2 "Centipede" diesel locomotive built by Baldwin for the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1947 features built-in controllable sounds - such as horn, bell, coupler crash, brake release, start-up and shut-down sequences, passenger station, freight yard, lumber yard, farm, maintenance yard, and many others - that operate even on standard DC layouts and recordable DCC operation for automated sound and movement sequences.
Additional fine features include a detailed cab with glazed windows and engineer and fireman figures, a powerful motor with precision gearing for smooth operation, an operating headlight, a die cast frame, realistic Trainphone (a system used to send and receive voice messages before regular radio systems were in place on the PRR) antennae on the roof, magnetically operated knuckle couplers, and an authentic Pennsylvania Railroad "Brunswick Green" passenger scheme with gold leaf lettering and five stripes. Measures approximately 12½" long and arrives ready to run.
