Amtrak - Phase III scheme
Amtrak relied heavily on its fleet of F40 diesel locomotives throughout the 1980s and '90s. They were seen in service on the busy Northeast Corridor as well as on long distant main line service across the United States.
This HO scale set features a powered unit, an unpowered unit and a caboose. The powered unit has a powerful motor and working headlight. Each unit features a detailed shell and truck side frames, authentic Amtrak markings, and more. Each locomotive measures 7¾" in length and the caboose measures 4¼" in length.
