The Lost Express - DVD-R

The Lost Express - DVD-R

This 1926 Hollywood thriller stars Henry Barrows and Helen Homes. John Morgan (Barrows), a railroad tycoon opposed to his daughter Ruth's failed marriage, has made Ruth's daughter sole heir to his railroad empire. While arranging to take his granddaughter abroad with him to deny either parent custody, Morgan gets kidnapped aboard his "Special" train. The story is enhanced with plenty of high-power railroad action featuring early Union Pacific steam power. Silent with musical score ad subtitles, B&W, 50 minutes.

Includes the bonus feature The Railroad Men (1923). Esther, the daughter of a railroad president, is rescued from sure death by railroad employee John Buckley after she falls from her horse in the path of a speeding train. Lawrence Wilton, the president's advisor, becomes jealous of the blossoming romance between Esther and John, so he devises a plan to wreck the president's special train and blame it on John. Silent film with musical score and subtitles, B&W, 51 minutes.
