The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe received its final order of twenty-five 2-10-4 Texas steam locomotives - a type that the Santa Fe originated in 1919 when it equipped a 2-10-2 with a four-wheel trailing truck - from Baldwin in 1944.

This HO scale model - DCC-equipped for speed, direction and lighting - of one of those Texas locomotives features a powerful 5-pole motor; precision gearing; a die cast chassis; metal cylinders; dozens of intricate, hand-applied body and oil tender details; a well-equipped cab interior with an engineer figure; an operating headlight; magnetically operated knuckle couplers; a lifetime limited warranty; authentic Santa Fe markings; and more.
