Manufactured continuously for half a century, the 88 was Oldsmobile's top-selling car from 1950 to 1974. The Super 88 was introduced in 1951 as an upscale model offering a more luxurious interior and restyled rear body panels. With its high-performance V8, the car is considered a predecessor to the muscle cars of the 1960s. The line was discontinued in 1999.
This 1/18 scale, die cast model — a striking orange replica of a 1957 Super 88 — features a finely cast body, a stylish two-tone paint scheme, an open-top convertible design, glazed headlights and windshield, an opening hood revealing a detailed multi-colored V8 engine, a well-equipped interior (including bench seating and dashboard detailing), a realistic undercarriage, plenty of simulated chrome, authentic badging, and realistically treaded tires. Measures approximately 10" long.
