An EMD GP9 is a four-axle road switcher diesel-electric locomotive designed by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division. The Southern Pacific was an American Class I railroad network that existed from 1865 to 1996 and operated in the Western United States.
This HO scale, die cast model replicates the GP9 Diesel Locomotive with special paint markings from the Southern Pacific railroad. It includes inertial and radiator grille position on long hood, early coupler cut bar, low MU stand, full skirts above fuel tank, MU catch boxes with footboards, front and rear early pyle headlights, train line and MU hoses, coupler cut levers, fine-scale handrails, wire grab irons, lift rings, windshield wipers, see-through cab windows and full cab interior, air tanks, and fuel tanks. This detailed locomotive model is fully assembled and ready-to-run. Measures 7½" long.
